CEH Achieves the Investors in People Standard - 9 February 2009
In January 2009 the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology was awarded the Investors in People standard.
Professor Alan Thorpe, Chief Executive of the Natural Environment Research Council, CEH’s parent body, said, “Congratulations to staff on CEH being awarded Investors in People. This is a huge achievement particularly given the re-structuring of CEH.”
Over 50 staff from all levels of the organisation were interviewed during the assessment process. The Investors in People award will initially run for three years until 2012.
Director CEH, Professor Pat Nuttall added, “The positive outcome of the assessment process was down to the hard work of many people within the organisation during a time of much change in CEH. It also reflects the emphasis and investment that CEH puts into providing training and development opportunities for staff across the organisation.”
