Conservation biology prize for CEH scientist 10th August 2007

 

Prof. Sarah WanlessOn 19 June Professor Sarah Wanless was presented with the Zoological Society of London's prestigious Marsh Award for Conservation Biology. The award is given annually for contributions of fundaPresentation of the Marsh Awardmental science and its application to the conservation of animal species and habitats.

Sarah, who is based at CEH's Banchory site, leads a team of researchers on the Isle of May in Scotland. She has been prominent in highlighting threats from climate change and fisheries that are currently being faced by seabirds in the North Sea.
